Israel: Land of the Bible
“There’s only one place in the world where every direction you look and every step you take, you find beauty, reveal meaning and connect with your spiritual roots.
Israel is the land of the Bible and the cradle of Christianity where it all begun – the place where you can touch the past and be inspired for the future.”
When you visit Israel, God’s Word becomes clearer, your faith becomes deeper, and your passion for Christ becomes stronger. We believe that once you visit Israel, you’ll never be the same again!
When Christian tourists return from a trip to Israel, invariably the single most heard expression is: “I’ll never be the same again….”
Being a Christian, the most amazing thing to do would be to visit the land of Jesus, see all the landmarks of the bible and experience first hand the culture and the life of where he lived.
Imagine something about sailing on the Sea of Galilee, walking the streets of Jerusalem, and viewing the empty tomb creates a deep change of heart and spirit. You can sense God’s presence there.
So many of the names that appear on the road signs—Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Sea of Galilee, Nazareth—have been familiar since childhood. You will also experience the special thrill of walking in the footsteps of history as you retrace the steps of Abraham 4,000 years ago, of King David 3,000 years ago, of Jesus 2,000 years ago, and of the Crusaders 1,000 years ago.
I think it would be incredibly powerful to be re-baptized in the River Jordan. I know it isn’t required, but it would be incredible to do; truly, a life-changing event for me.
Quotes from past Pilgrims……
A faithful was quoted as saying: ‘I want to walk on historic grounds and visit the place where Jesus lived. I want to walk the stone steps Jesus walked, retrace Paul’s journeys, stand in the foundations of the second Temple, climb Mt Sinai….’
Another traveler to the Holy Land was quoted as saying: ‘Ever since I was a kid in Sunday School and read about the Matriarchs and the Patriarchs, I dreamed of visiting the Holy Land. Recently, my dreams came true when I joined my Church on the trip of a lifetime led by our inspiring pastor. Walking where Jesus walked, where the prophets prophesized, and where the apostles lived, was thrilling beyond words.
And another one had this to say: ‘For me the highlights of our pilgrimage was Baptism in the Jordan River just like John the Baptist did, and hearing the Sermon on the Mount at the Mt. of Beatitudes. Standing there I could just imagine how our Lord Jesus first proclaimed it to his disciples in Biblical times, and a big chill went down my back. I was changed forever!
Why Visit the Holy Land?
by Pastor Lance Sparks
There is no place on earth that God loves more than Zion (Psalms 87:12).
It is the place that God’s people and angels call home (Hebrews 12:22-23).
Do yourself a favor and take some time to travel to the only city that is called “holy” (Isaiah 52:1), “faithful” (Isaiah 26:27), and “truth” (Zechariah 8:3).
So go to your real home on earth! To Zion = Jerusalem, The City of Peace, the beautiful city of God!
